bosch Tiernahrung - A family business since 1960
bosch Tiernahrung was founded in 1960 by Mr Kurt Bosch as a traditional family business. Initially, our company produced exclusively agricultural livestock feed, but began already in 1984 to distribute dry dog food. With the installation of the first extruder line in 1988, we started production of high-quality dry food for dogs in our own factory.
As a result of the BSE crisis in 2000, the production and distribution of livestock feed was discontinued, and at the same time the entire production facilities were converted for the production of high-quality dry food for pets.
This means that bosch Tiernahrung has one of the most modern pet food production facilities in Europe, with considerable production capacities.
Though bosch pet food was initially distributed through the existing network of agricultural traders and breeders, since 1998, we have continually sought for distribution channels via the specialist trade and have constantly expanded upon these.
An important step on the way into the specialist trade was the development and introduction of the high-premium Sanabelle cat line in 2001, as the specialist trade was obviously looking for alternatives in this segment.
Today, bosch pet food is represented in all well-known concepts and franchise companies by both the bosch and Sanabelle brand names.
